This 3 Days Mgahinga National Park tour experience is a short vacation of the Mgahinga Gorilla tracking located 540 kilometers from Kampala, the Capital City of Uganda for Gorilla Tracking and Golden Monkey which are the main activities in the Park.
Detailed safari Plan
Day 1: Travel from Kampala to Mgahinga National Park.
Our driver-guide will pick you up from your Hotel in the morning after your breakfast and depart by road driving the south-western part of Uganda via Kabale town.
If time is on your side you will have a break at the Equator for photography. Thereafter you will embark on the scenic journey to Mbarara for lunch, then proceed to Kabale, Kisoro and finally reach the Park in the evening. Check in to your booked lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Gorilla Tracking
In the morning after breakfast, you will have a short briefing followed by registration for your gorilla tracking experience.
You will have a packed lunch and water. Some levels of fitness are necessary in order to do the walking through the thick jungle and thick forest. Gorillas will be heard grumbling to each other in the thick forest.
It is the most breathtaking wildlife experience on earth. Other primates can also be seen include the golden monkey, black and white colobus monkey. Later you will return back to the lodge on time for lunch.
In the afternoon you may opt for a guided walk and visit the Garama cave which is 342 metre long and 14 deep. It’s one of the caves where the Batwa lived and fought their neighbors the Bantu although it’s now inhabited by bats. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Drive back to Kampala.
After an early breakfast, you will be transferred back to Kampala with a stop in Mbarara town for lunch at Igongo Cultural Museum.
