This 3 days tour takes you to eastern Uganda, introducing you to a breathtakingly beautiful waterfall comprising of series of three falls with heights of 100m, 85m & 75m respectively located in Kapchorwa, district northeast of Sironko and Mbale.
The waterfalls lie on the edge of Mount Elgon National Park near the Kenyan border. The Sipi Falls area is the starting point for many hikes up Mt. Elgon.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Ssipi falls.
Today our guide will pick you from Kampala for a journey to Mount Elgon in eastern Uganda, a 5-hour journey past the Mabira Forest and Jinja Towns, and then onward to Ssipi Falls where we check-in at your booked lodge
Enjoy a delightful lunch, most with local ingredients grown around the Mount Elgon area.
After Lunch you begin to explore the nearby main Sipi Falls which is a set of 3 falls, there are caves behind the main falls. Be on the lookout for lots of birds to discover as you climb all the way to the top of the falls.
The views are breathtaking and this hike takes you about 2½ hours. Expect to see birds such as the Tacazze, Sunbirds, Turacos, and Hornbill as many are in the area.
Later return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Hiking Ssipi falls.
Have your morning breakfast, then embark on the tour with a packed lunch for the day, and off you go for a day of hiking and birding on Mount Elgon.
You will have a short drive to Mount Elgon Exploration Center take a day trail montane and bamboo forests, there are splendid views of Mount Elgon and the valleys below. Fields of wildflowers, butterflies, and birds such as the black and white casqued Hornbill, Hartlaub’s Turaco, bar-tailed Trogon, grey throated Barbet, Montane Oriole, Mountain Greenbul, and Black Collared Apalis to name just a few.
you will enjoy the picnic lunch along the way and return to the lodging facility in the late afternoon for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Transfer back to Kampala. Today you have a morning breakfast and then set off for your journey to Kampala with a stop in Jinja Town for lunch and finally continue with your drive to Kampala to transfer to your Hotel in Kampala or to Entebbe Airport for Dinner and Overnight.
